On Saturday the Montreal Impact announced that they had come to terms with River Plate for the transfer and signing of defender Victor Cabrera.
Victor Cabrera will be returning to the backline of the Montreal Impact in 2016 signing a multi-year deal with the club. The defender was officially acquired from the Argentine powerhouse River Plate, details of the transfer were not disclosed as per MLS policy. The Impact did not hide their desire to bring back Cabrera after the conclusion of the 2015 season, and his signing on Saturday brought the transfer process to an end.
