Ugandan international left-back Mustafa Kizza (20), signed from Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) in the summer may be on his way to the Impact sooner than originally anticipated.
Upon signing, he was immediately loaned back to his Ugandan club and it was thought he would not arrive in Montreal until the New Year. There was however a clause in the legalities stating Montreal could have him sooner if required and should pandemic travel restrictions permit.
Yesterday’s development with the Montreal Impact acquiring a foreign player spot from DC United by ceding GAM amounts of $75,000 (2020) and $150,000 (2021) seems to lean towards such a development.
