Confirmation at training this morning that Ahmed Hamdy the 23 year-old from Egyptian Premier League side El Gonna finally arrived in Montreal yesterday.
It’s been a long and protracted process for the u23 international who looks certain to be part of his country’s already qualified Olympic side, meaning Montreal will have to do without him late July/early August when the Games take place.
His 14 day isolation period began today, after which he’ll finally be free to join his new team-mates for training.
Two others currently quarantining are Argentinian midfielder Joaquin Torres and former Houston man, Kiki Struna.
