The cub had a major announcement ready for Sunday’s match:
CF Montréal will be returning the number 12 to its fans this Sunday, during the match against Real Salt Lake, scheduled for 4pm at Stade Saputo.
This gesture aims to underscore the importance and contribution of the Club’s fans, who are the driving force behind Stade Saputo’s atmosphere and who generate the energy that drives the 11 players on the pitch during every match. The number will be retired in perpetuity and will no longer be worn. A permanent banner will also be displayed inside the stadium, serving as a reminder every match of the crucial contribution of the team’s twelfth player.
