Bayern’s Run Ends Abruptly

Bayern Munich’s incredible 32 game unbeaten run is at an end.

The sequence was all the more spectacular since it included only one draw and the last 23 games (including the latter stages of the 2019/20 Champions League) were all won.

They hadn’t lost since December 2019 when Borussia Monchengladbach came from behind to defeat them 2-1 with a 92nd minute goal in the Bundesliga.

But today HSG Hoffenheim, the team backed by SAP, had other ideas. They were 2-0 in front by the time Joshua Khimmich pulled a goal back for the European Champions in the 36th minute.
