Noémie Marin and Cathy Chartrand among eight Canadiennes to announce retirement

Eight members of Les Canadiennes have announced their retirement before the 2018-19 season, including all-time leading CWHL goal-scorer Noémie Marin, and Cathy Chartrand, the highest scoring defender in league history.

“Today, we say a goodbye to some incredible players who have left an indelible mark on Les Canadiennes, and given heart and soul to their teammates and this organization,” said Les Canadiennes general manager Meg Hewings in a press release.

Marin had 133 goals over her CWHL career, two goals ahead of teammate Caroline Ouellette for the CWHL record. She had 257 points over her CWHL career, good for second all-time.
