Montreal Canadiens owner Geoff Molson has recently made it known that Bergevin will remain as the general manager. Molson made an appearance on TSN 690 and spoke glowingly of Bergevin.
“If I look at his experience in the business of hockey, starting back to when he was with Chicago, he’s had a lot of success building a successful team in Chicago,” Molson said.
Earlier this week Molson was also sure to point to the Tampa Bay Lightning. He mentioned how the Lightning are now having a great season without having to rebuild after missing the playoffs last season.
