As each day goes by, we’re provided with more information on how Phillip Danault is doing after taking the Zdeno Chara slapshot to the head. The Montreal Canadiens announced that the 24-year-old is suffering from concussion-like symptoms.
Considering where and the obvious impact of the puck, this isn’t much of a surprise. However, as bad as concussions are, it could’ve been worse, and it’s still great to learn that he’s doing better.
Unfortunately, the thing about concussions is that they are hard to track. Everyone copes with them differently, especially professional athletes.
