The Montreal Canadiens will be sellers today. They have already sold a few items ahead of today’s trade deadline, but will still be looking to move players for future picks and prospects as the day goes on today. The deadline does not hit until 3:00 P.M. Eastern time, and you can be sure that general manager Marc Bergevin’s phone will be ringing right up until the final minute.
He already traded Marco Scandella for a second round pick and a conditional fourth round pick. He also traded Ilya Kovalchuk last night for a third round pick. There are plenty of other players with a for sale sign attached to them, but the asking prices remain very high.
