Montreal Canadiens: Possible cases for Player Elected Salary Arbitration

The 2018 NHL Draft was wild for the Montreal Canadiens. The window to speak with pending unrestricted free agents was bland while Free Agent Frenzy served its purpose. Now that those are over and done with, the next milestone in the NHL involves restricted free agents and Player-Elected Salary Arbitration.

Salary Arbitration can be a scary term and process. In a nutshell, when an RFA and a team can’t agree on a new contract, they take the case to a hearing, and a third-party arbitrator decides on the player’s salary.

Any and all information can be brought to the hearing, so both sides and can fight their case.
