Montreal Canadiens notes: Ryan Poehling out indefinitely with a concussion, Nick Suzuki on right wing

The Montreal Canadiens announced today that Ryan Poehling is out indefinitely with a concussion. He likely suffered it on Wednesday when a hit from Florida Panther Dryden Hunt sent his head hard into the glass.

Poehling continued the game and earned the game-winning assist shorthanded. Concussion symptoms can sometimes take time to appear.

Paul Byron left Thursday’s game with an injury, and was on the injured list at practice. The team also announced that Michael McCarron is out six weeks with his groin injury.

The injuries forced a shakeup at practice.
