Canada will have a chance to win their third Spengler Cup after defeating Mountfield HK Saturday morning. Getting this opportunity was more than any of us could’ve asked for when Montreal Canadiens prospect Jake Evans was named to the team. Being recognized for his success in the NCAA was great and being around players who have spent time in the NHL can do a lot for his growth.
The game later today between Switzerland and HC Davos will decide who they’re opponent is for the championship match. However, based on how Canada has played, it may not matter who it is.
