Hockey is back (kind of). Training camp may not start for another week, but the Montreal Canadiens prospects are set to get their camp going today.
The Habs will have 28 players taking part in rookie camp with three odd omissions. Andrew Zadarnowski pointed this out on Twitter, but Lukas Vejdemo, Antoine Waked, and David Sklenicka are all eligible to be invited to camp – as they have entry-level deals with the Habs – and weren’t.
Why? Who knows.
Vejdemo was one of the best performers at last year’s camp and carried that into a good rookie season with the Laval Rocket.
