If you’re a true fan, you probably spend a lot of your time thinking about the Montreal Canadiens. Whenever that happens, the first name that comes to your mind is most likely Carey Price (unless you’re pondering on the state of the team then it may be Marc Bergevin).
A lot of hockey minds, including Pierre McGuire, were skeptical of the Habs decision to take the goaltender 5th overall in 2005. Drafting high at that position is always a risk, but considering what Price has done since stepping into the league, it was a risk worth taking.
