Lukas Vejdemo signs one-year, two-way contract extension with the Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Lukas Vejdemo to a one-year, two-way contract extension for the 2020-21 season.

The contract will see Vejdemo make $700,000 at the NHL level and $105,000 in the AHL.

The Swedish forward made his NHL debut this season, scoring a goal in the team’s final game before the regular season ended. His goal was his only point in seven NHL games. He had nine goals and 10 assists in 47 AHL games for the Laval Rocket.

There was some doubt whether Vejdemo would be back after he was not on the team’s roster for the Return to Play.
