After a slow start to the year, the Swedish forward is beginning to heat up, much like he did during his rookie season. With the IceCaps' big guns struggling to score, the sophomore forward stepped up and registered a pair of goals against the Utica Comets this weekend.
Playing on the second line alongside Gabriel Dumont and Michael McCarron, de la Rose has been seeing heavy minutes, and getting regular time on the power play. He grabbed a goal on the man advantage in a 5-2 loss on Friday night, and then followed up by opening the scoring in the rematch the next day.
