The St. John’s IceCaps are halfway through a six-game road trip to start the season, and the results thus far are not encouragine, as the team lost the first three games in regulation time. This despite the addition of some high-profile players from the Montreal Canadiens: Marc Barberio, Michael McCarron, and Sven Andrighetto all joined the IceCaps during this road trip after being cut from the Habs roster.
The IceCaps shouldn’t count on those players being around for a significant amount of time, as they’ll be with the NHL club once injuries start to pile up, but for now the team needs to take advantage of its depth to accumulate points early on in the season.
