Frustrated Lions lose their cool, and Game 2

After Friday’s lack of discipline cost them the game against one of the ECHL’s best power plays, the Lions de Trois-Rivières were hoping for a better outing in Game 2 of their playoff series against the Newfoundland Growlers.

They would have to do it without Alexis D’Aoust and Olivier Galipeau however, as both players were knocked out of the first game with upper-body injuries and were not able to return. Taking D’Aoust’s place in the lineup was Alexandre Fortin, who had missed the last five Lions games, while Connor Welsh was inserted to replace Galipeau.

It was Fortin who had the Lions’ first good chance of the game, but Growlers goaltender Keith Petruzzelli made a big blocker save.
