Charles Hudon signs one-year contract with Montreal Canadiens

Becoming a restricted free agent on July 1, Charles Hudon had elected for salary arbitration in an effort to earn a fair deal for the 2019-20 season. The hearing that was set to take place on August 2 will no longer be necessary as the Montreal Canadiens have signed him to a one-year contract.

Drafted in 2012, the upcoming season will be the eighth for Hudon as a member of the Canadiens organization. After two additional seasons in the QMJHL after that fifth-round selection, he became one of the top forwards on the AHL affiliate, approaching 30 goals in 2015-16 and 2016-17 with the St.
