SUNRISE – After waiting 61 spots between picks, the Canadiens made Lukas Vejdemo the 87th overall selection in the 2015 NHL Draft.
In 34 games with Djurgarden of the Swedish Junior League, the 6-foot-2 centerman had 23 goals and 48 points this season. The 18-year-old Stockholm native also took part in three games as a member of the big club in 2014-15.
