Playing two of the lowest seeds to make the quarter-finals, Canada and Russia nevertheless had tough tests to make it to today’s meeting. We knew Germany had a good group of forwards to lead them, but with a lack of depth made worse by the COVID situation, it was quite surprising to see them keep the opening quarter-final competitive.
