Yorgan De Castro was not expected to make it this far.
On the Contender Series earlier this summer, he was the biggest underdog on the card against Alton Meeks but won the fight by technical knockout to earn a UFC contract. Nearly four months later, he will make his Octagon debut on the main card of UFC 243. It’s a surreal experience for for De Castro.
“I love it. If you want to do your UFC debut this is amazing to do it on,” De Castro said to Sherdog.
