It appears that top middleweight contender Yoel Romero won’t be able to compete at UFC 230 as originally planned.
The promotion recently announced that Romero would square off against Paulo Henrique Costa at Madison Square Garden in New York on Nov. 3. However, “The Soldier of God” told ESPN on Mondy that date simply won’t work due to a broken orbital bone he suffered in a loss to Robert Whittaker at UFC 225 on June 9.
"Maybe four or five months," Romero said. "The doctor said, 'Yoel needs more time.
