UFC featherweight Yair Rodriguez will be out for the rest of 2025 after undergoing surgery on Tuesday.
According to ESPN Deportes, the Mexican standout suffered an injury to his left hand in a victory over Patricio Freire at UFC 314 on April 12. While the procedure was a success, “El Pantera” won’t be able to resume training until two to four months at a minimum.
Rodriguez Bypassed Surgery in Hopes of Title Shot
Rodriguez initially avoided surgery because there was a possibilty he would receive a featherweight title shot against Alexander Volkanovski at Noche UFC.
