After earning a developmental deal this past season on Dana White’s Contender Series, William Knight will look to officially punch his ticket to the UFC.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a light heavyweight bout between Knight and Cody Brundage will take place on the Sept. 1 Contender Series fight card at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. DWCS fighters compete in front of Dana White, along with matchmakers Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard in hopes of making their professional dreams a reality.
Knight took on Herdem Alacabek this past August and earned a third-round TKO win to improve the Connecticut native’s record to 5-0.
