Welcome back to the Sherdog Staff Pick ‘Em league, where this week we will take our best shots at UFC on ESPN 35 “Font vs. Vera.”. “UFC Vegas 53” is about as threadbare as a UFC event gets, even by modern standards; the lone fight on the card with any immediate divisional implications, the headliner between Rob Font and Marlon Vera, lost much of its impact when Font missed weight on Friday. Nonetheless, the dozen fights scheduled for the Apex do feature quite a few interesting prospects, including debuting 22-year-old Shooto phenom Tatsuro Saira.
