It appears that may be the case, as the former Pride FC champion posted a photograph of himself standing side-by-side with the newly elected Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Silva congratulated his ‘dear friend' for the victory, as well as all Canadians.
"Congratulations to my dear friend and great leader Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Your victory is Canada's victory."
Silva met Trudeau in August and revealed then that he considered "the son of former Prime Minister the great Pierre Trudeau" to be the "new hope for Canada."
