Video: Terence Crawford beats Amir Khan by bizarre low blow TKO

Terence Crawford (35-0, 26 KOs) got the stoppage win vs. Amir Khan (33-5, 20 KOs) to defend his WBO welterweight title, but it wasn’t the way anyone wanted to see it happen.

After scoring a clean knockdown in round one and largely dominating Khan, “Bud” threw a punch that strayed low... undoubtedly low. Khan was in pain but never used up the five minutes, and trainer Virgil Hunter stopped the fight. This caused confusion as to what the result would be. If it was deemed an intentional foul, it would be a DQwin for Khan. An unintentional foul theoretically would mean a technical decision, but it turns out it’s a TKO in New York.
