A couple of weeks ago, Hollywood action star and life-long martial arts practitioner Steven Seagal took center stage at the international youth Sambo tournament in Saratov, Russia. The 63-year-old has been absent from UFC appearances for some time but is still sharpening and honing his martial arts craft in Russia. The film actor and producer was known to associate with Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida backstage at UFC events and during their walkouts.
Although Seagal is respected as an Aikido practitioner, his presence in the UFC with Silva and Machida was shunned as a cheap publicity stunt.
