Video: ‘Sexyama’ picks up first win since 2014 with stunning knockout

“Sexyama” is back in the win column.

Yoshihiro Akiyama’s second appearance for ONE Championship went much better than his first as the 44-year-old veteran needed a little over three minutes to dispose of Sherif Mohamed at Friday’s ONE Championship: King of the Jungle show in Singapore.

The aggressive Mohamed waded right into a counter-right from Akiyama, which sent him tumbling to the floor completely out of it.

This is Akiyama’s first win since defeating Amir Sadollah at a UFC Fight Night show on Sept. 20, 2014. Akiyama, who has competed for the UFC and Japan’s DREAM and Hero’s promotions, was just 1-6 in his last seven fights.
