Raulian Paiva had suffered two straight losses after earning a UFC contract with a win on the Contender Series. And when his back was against the wall at Rio Rancho, he delivered.
The 24-year-old Brazilian had repeatedly tagged Mark De La Rosa with his right hand. Late in the second, he landed a power shot that put the American down for good at the 4:42 mark of the preliminary card bout’s second frame.
