Video: Nonito Donaire knocks out Nordine Oubaali to become champion again at 38-years-old

“The king has returned,” Nonito Donaire said after the referee called the fight off.

Just four rounds into his WBC championship bout against Nordine Oubaali, and The Filipino Flash became a world champion again at 38-years-old.

Donaire knocked down Oubaali twice in the third round, with the second happening right at the bell. Oubaali seemed badly hurt there, but the referee gave him a chance and allowed him to continue. Donaire continued the onslaught on the fourth though, and eventually scored with another big shot that ended the fight.

Donaire handed the two-time Olympian Oubaali the first loss of his career, and took his belt in the process.
