Mark Fairtex Abelardo made a statement in the opening bout of ONE Championship: Fists of Fury 2, a previously recorded event that took place in Singapore and aired Friday morning.
Abelardo, who had his back against the wall after consecutive losses under the ONE banner in 2020 that dropped his overall MMA record to 19-8, stopped Emilio Urrutia with a vicious standing elbow in the second round of their bantamweight bout.

The next two MMA bouts on the card also ended with big knockouts for featherweights Yoshiki Nakahara and Tang Kai, who finished Ruslan Emilbek Uulu and Ryogo Takahashi, respectively, in under three minutes.
