At Thursday’s media day for UFC 239, Masvidal told reporters that he and Askren had a brief encounter at their hotel lobby in Las Vegas, and according to “Gamebred” it was Askren who blinked (or as Masvidal put it, Askren allegedly “f*cking froze.”)
Now Askren has uploaded what appears to be a clip of the supposed run-in and though it appears that Masvidal is doing most of the talking, one can judge for themselves how rattled Askren was by his opponent’s intimidation tactics.
Regardless of who is winning the mental battle ahead of their fight, Masvidal and Askren will throw down for real on Saturday in a welterweight contest at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
