Vicente Luque calls Michael Chiesa an ‘ideal opponent’: ‘It prepares me for the big ones’

UFC welterweight contender Vicente Luque is perfectly satisfied with the opponent that he drew for his next outing. Paired up against grappling specialist Michael Chiesa at UFC 265, the ‘Silent Assassin’ knows he will have his hands full against the ‘Maverick’, but that won’t stop the Brazilian from believing he is going to finish his game opponent.

In an interview with Ag Fight, Luque sang Chiesa’s praises, calling him a dangerous fighter on the mat. In fact, Vicente looks at the pairing as a way to prepare for the top of the welterweight division, which is populated by great wrestlers such as Colby Covington and champion Kamaru Usman.
