Robin Van Roosmalen lost the lightweight title to Thailand's Sittichai Sitsongpeenong at Glory 31 Amsterdam earlier this year by way of a decision, which sparked much controversy. In search of new challenges, he turned his attention to the featherweight division and the title, which Gabriel Varga had recaptured from Serhiy Adamchuk at Glory 32.
Numerous questions hung over him going into the fight, not the least of which was whether his gas tank - superb at lightweight - would survive both a drop in weight class and a fight at altitude in Denver.
As it turned out, there were no issues at all.
