Urijah Faber has an opponent booked for his return to the Octagon at UFC Sacramento.
“The California Kid” will square off with rising bantamweight fighter Ricky Simon on July 13. The event will take place in Faber’s hometown of Sacramento at the Golden1 Center. A verbal agreement has been reached but the fight has not officially been announced by the UFC, per MMA Junkie.
Faber (34-10) seemingly wrapped up his professional mixed martial arts career with a unanimous decision win over Brad Pickett in his hometown back in December of 2016. Simon (15-1) is a perfect 3-0 in the UFC and most recently won a clear unanimous decision over Rani Yahya.
