Ultimate Fighter alum Lisa Ellis signs with Invicta, moves back to atomweight

The former Ultimate Fighter competitor has signed a deal with Invicta FC and will move back down to atomweight, Invicta announced Monday. Ellis previously competed at the inaugural Invicta show in 2012 at 105 pounds.

Ellis (15-10) went 0-2 during her UFC run, the latest loss via first-round submission to rival Bec Rawlings in May. She also fell to Felice Herrig at the TUF 20 Finale and on the reality show to Jessica Penne. Ellis, 32, lost to Penne at Invicta 1 in the best -- and bloodiest -- women's fight of 2012.

The Washington native is a pioneer of women's MMA with a career going back to 2004.
