Martin Kampmann has officially announced his retirement from the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA).
"The Hitman" revealed his decision to walk away from combat sports during a recent interview with UFC.com, admitting that he doesn't know why it took him so long make his plans public, despite knowing for a while.
"I've known for a while," the longtime middleweight and welterweight contender admitted. "I just haven't really made it official. I'm not sure why."
As far as making a comeback, Martin says that is the last thing on his mind, as he doesn't ever seem himself fighting professionally again.
