Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Scott Askham didn’t get short shrift in his desire to get a major opponent with new promoter Konfrantacja Sztuk Walki</>.
On Tuesday, the Poland-based company announced that Askham would officially make his promotional debut at KSW 42, taking on former KSW kingpin Materla.
KSW 42, set for March 3 at Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland, is due to be headlined by a 198-pound super fight between the organization’s middleweight and light heavyweight champions, Mamed Khalidov and Tomasz Narkun.
Materla held the KSW middleweight belt for three years before giving up the title to Mamed Khalidov via first-round knockout loss at KSW 33 in November 2015.
