Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran George Roop’s debut under the Road Fighting Championship banner yielded horrifying results.
Roop suffered a broken leg in his Road Fighting Championship 31 main event with Yoon Jun Lee on Saturday at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul. The gruesome injury resulted in an immediate stoppage just 75 seconds into round one.
A semifinalist on Season 8 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Roop fired a low kick at Lee a little more than a minute into their match. His right shin appeared to connect with Lee’s right knee, resulting in a clear break above the ankle.
