UFC Vegas 37 medical suspensions: Anthony Smith, Devin Clark among 6 fighters facing six-month suspensions

Anthony Smith suffered an apparent knee injury during his fight with Ryan Spann at UFC Vegas 37 and has received a potential six-month suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

Smith submitted Spann with a first-round rear-naked choke, but did not leave the Octagon unscathed despite his dominant performance. Smith must have a MRI done of his right knee, and if it comes back positive, will need to obtain clearance from an orthopedic doctor before returning to the Octagon.

Devin Clark also received a potential six-month suspension for what has now been diagnosed as an alveolar ridge fracture of the teeth.
