Cannonier enters the fight with a record of 3-1 in his last four outings. From 2018-2019, Cannonier had put together a three fight win streak consisting of three straight TKOs. Over that time, he picked up wins over David Branch, former middleweight champion Anderson Silva and Jack Hermansson.
