The Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada was home to a great night of fights at UFC Vegas 30: Gane vs. Volkov. The card saw four (T)KOs, three submissions, and five decisions, including a split-decision, a majority decision and a no-contest.
The preliminary card kicked off with Damir Hadzovich taking a unanimous decision victory over Yancy Madeiros. That was followed by Justin Jaynes losing his entire purse after losing a split-decision to Charles Rosa. Julia Avila scored a third-round victory when she slapped a rear-naked choke on Julija Stoliarenko. Marcin Prachniao landed a second-round liver kick that Ike Villanueva in the L column and Jeremiah Wells showed that experience and strength of schedule don’t always matter when you’ve got knockout power, and he demonstrated that with a second-round knockout of Warlley Alves.
