Charles Jourdain delighted the home folks in Canada, and he’s now $50,000 richer for his work.
The 29-year-old Canadian earned a “Performance of the Night” award for his finish of Davey Grant in a featured bantamweight bout at UFC Vancouver on Saturday night at the Rogers Center. Jourdain rattled the British veteran with a flying knee, then unloaded with punches before securing a guillotine choke to seal his victory at the 3:05 mark of Round 1.
Preliminary Bouts Get Bonus Recognition
Elsewhere, Drew Dober and Kyle Prepolec received “Fight of the Night” honors of $50,000 apiece for their spirited preliminary lightweight clash.
