Mantas Kondratavicius fought like he was running late for a hot date.
The Fighter House standout on Tuesday was one of six competitors inked to an Ultimate Fighting Championship contract on Week 7 of Dana White’s Contender Series, as he buried the previously unbeaten Djani Barbir with punches in the first round of their middleweight showcase at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Barbir (7-1, 0-1 DWCS) bowed out 66 seconds into Round 1.
Kondratavicius (8-1, 1-0 DWCS) crowded the Croatian from the start, surprised him with a takedown and settled for the clinch after being reversed.
