Five fighters from this past weekend’s UFC Fight Night 137 card could be facing lengthy layoffs.
The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) released a list of medical suspensions from Saturday’s event, which took place at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo and saw Thiago Santos earn a third-round TKO victory against Eryk Anders in the evening’s headliner.
Anders was suspended 60 days with 45 days of no contact in defeat. The former University of Alabama linebacker was unable to return to his corner following the third stanza due to exhaustion and was transported to a local hospital immediately after the event for precautionary reasons.
