In a meeting of two former Invicta FC featherweight champions, Felicia Spencer reigned supreme.
The unbeaten Canadian needed 3:24 to take Megan Anderson (9-4) to the mat and finish with a rear-naked choke submission in their main card bout at UFC Rochester at Blue Cross Arena on Saturday.
Spencer (7-0) became the first fighter to finish Anderson since Sept. 14, 2015. Post-fight, she praised Anderson as “an amazing fighter” and spoke about her own knack for securing chokes.
“I’ve been doing this my whole life” Spencer said. “That’s just what I do and I guess I’m known for rear chokes now.
