UFC president Dana White isn’t shy when it comes to speaking about his love of gambling. And over the weekend, he put a lot of money on a boxer he admires, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, to take out opponent Caleb Plant and become the first undisputed champion at 168 pounds.
Canelo, who took on Plant in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas with the UFC was running Madison Square Garden in New York the same night, finished Plant in the 11th round. Which was music to White’s ears, because he bet a whopping 100k on Alvarez to end it before the final horn.
