Julian Marquez, Darren Stewart, Nordine Taleb and Alessio Di Chirico were $50,000 bonus recipients at UFC on Fox 26 in Winnipeg on Saturday night.
Marquez and Stewart garnered “Fight of the Night” honors for their physical middleweight clash. Both Marquez and Stewart were more than willing to slug it out in close quarters during the preliminary contest, but Stewart appeared to fade after landing multiple takedowns in the opening stanza. Marquez took advantage in round two, as he trapped Stewart in a guillotine choke following a weak shot and secured the tapout at the 2:42 mark.
